GradeBac is a Chrome extension that helps students calculate and view their grades directly within their school portal. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal or sensitive information accessed by the extension. • Personal or Sensitive Data:

  GradeBac may access grade and assignment information displayed on your school’s portal in order to calculate and display your overall grade.

• Local Storage Only:

  All data used by the extension is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s storage API.

• No External Transmission:

  GradeBac does not collect, transmit, or share your data to any external servers, third parties, or developers.

Permissions

GradeBac requests the following permissions solely to provide its intended functionality:

• storage: To save your grade calculation settings locally on your device.
• activeTab: To access the active school portal tab when you use the extension.
• Host permissions (school portal domain): To read assignment and grade information directly from your school’s portal.

Permissions are narrowly scoped and are not used for any purpose other than grade calculation and display.

Data Sharing

GradeBac does not sell, share, or disclose your data to any third parties. Your information never leaves your device.
